From cocoon to brand innovation

The journey from silk cocoon to a standardized ingredient and a product ready for market.

Short film: golden cocoons on silk, fibers weaving into a gold network, light swirling around cosmetic bottles, ending on the Silk Innovation title

One silk fiber, many branded ingredients

The second forum goes deep into a single material: silk. From the proteins fibroin and sericin to research-backed branded ingredients for cosmetics, functional food and medical materials, with Fineco, a silk research company from South Korea, as the main case study.

Silk as a Platform
One material backed by deep know-how can become several branded ingredients, as Fineco built Silk Crystal into a family of grades for different uses.
